My Fitness Tips while "on the road"

Getting in your workouts and sticking to your fitness routine while traveling is hard... don’t we all know it? Most of us are guilty of the same thing… we pack our sneakers and workout gear with full intentions of getting a workout in while away, until a tropical drink at a pool bar seems like a better idea or a meeting with an important client runs long. A few brands are working to make this easier for the traveler. One of my favorites is the Westin workout lending program available at most properties.

Here’s how it works:

You pay a fee of $5.00 per stay and clean New Balance workout gear is delivered to your room. In addition to on site fitness centers some Westins offer running programs curated by a on site staff member and scheduled throughout the week so you can join a group.


Another company making a splash in travel fitness: Equinox, best known for lifestyle brand, club and spa. Equinox has opened its first hotel in New York’s Hudson Yards with 3 other hotels on the way. Guests experience access to their Hudson Yard Club as well as AM and PM mind and body rituals. I also find it helpful to keep fitness apps like Peloton and Apple Fitness on my phone so that I can visit a hotel gym with any amount of equipment and still get a workout in.
